Hans-Heinrich Giessler was a German U-boat officer and corvette captain in the Kriegsmarine. He joined the Reichsmarine on April 1, 1931, and served as the first watch officer on the destroyer Friedrich Eckoldt before becoming a U-boat commander. He commanded U-455 from August 21, 1941, to November 22, 1942, completing four patrols and sinking two ships. After the war, he was captured in May 1945 and released in March 1946.
