Harald Otto Mors (1910 - February 11, 2001) was a captain from the Fallschirmjäger who planned and led the Gran Sasso raid to rescue Benito Mussolini after his arrest in September 1943. He played a crucial role in the operation's planning and commanded the secondary force securing the cable car station at the foot of Gran Sasso Mountain, where Mussolini was held. Mors was awarded the German Cross in Gold on September 26, 1943 for his actions during this mission.
