Harald Richter is a former German badminton player born on February 15, 1945, in Chemnitz. He actively played throughout the 33 years of the East German Badminton Association. He won his first DDR title at the Junior Team Championships in 1962 and earned medals in all singles disciplines at the DDR Junior Championships in 1963. Richter later transitioned to Aktivist Tröbitz, securing further accolades, including a gold medal in men's doubles at the final DDR age-group championships. He continues to reside in Chemnitz.
