Trivedi played a critical role in the development of transplantation medicine in India and was the founding director of the Kidney Hospital in Ahmedabad, where he and his team conducted over 5200 kidney transplantations. His contributions to medicine were recognized with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2015.
