Harold Grieve was an American motion picture art director and interior designer, born on February 1, 1901, in Los Angeles, California. He studied art at the School of Illustration and Painting before starting his career in the film industry in the 1920s. As a founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, he contributed significantly to the organization. In the 1930s, he shifted to interior design, creating acclaimed projects for celebrities including Bing Crosby and Lily Pons. Grieve passed away on November 3, 1993.
