He serves as the House Democratic assistant leader and is the President-Elect of The National Black Caucus of State Legislators. Notably, his father, Harold Moses Love Sr., was also involved in politics, serving as a Nashville city councilman and in the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 54th District across two decades.
