Harold John Milford was a British Douglas Boston medium bomber observer born on August 16, 1914. During World War II, he was imprisoned in Stalag Luft III, where he participated in the famous 'Great Escape' in March 1944. Unfortunately, he was one of the soldiers recaptured during this escape and was executed by the Gestapo on April 6, 1944.
