Harold P. Gilmour (1903-1969) was a volunteer Antarctic explorer who participated in the 1939–1941 Byrd Polar Expedition. He served with the United States Antarctic Service for a nominal fee of $1 per annum. In recognition of his contributions, a mountain in Antarctica was named Mount Gilmour after him. His legacy is remembered in the context of early 20th-century polar exploration.
