Harold Jackson Whitaker (1920–2013) was a notable British animator known for his work on films such as Animal Farm (1954) and Heavy Metal (1981). He was educated in Manchester and had a long career with Halas and Batchelor, contributing to various animated projects, including The Twelve Tasks of Asterix and the television series The Dreamstone. Additionally, Whitaker authored "Timing for Animation," with a new introduction by John Lasseter in its 2002 edition. He passed away at the age of 93.
