Harrison David Horblit (1912-1988) was a philanthropist known for his extensive collection of books, manuscripts, and over 7,000 early photographs. A Harvard graduate, he became president of Colonial Fabrics and retired in 1966. He purchased Thomas Phillipps' photography collection and contributed to Harvard's Houghton Library. His designs included a bibliographical collation card used for rare book classification. Horblit spent summers yachting with his wife and was survived by his family. His contributions significantly enriched the field of photographic history and rare books.
