He completed his B.A. and M.A. in Gujarati-Sanskrit in 1954 and 1956, respectively, followed by a Ph.D. in 1965. He served as a Reader and later as a Professor in the Gujarati Department at MS University. His literary works include 'Chandrika' (1955) and critical studies on notable personalities like B.K. Thakor, contributing significantly to Gujarati literature.
