Haruki Izumi (泉 晴紀) is a Japanese manga artist born on February 11, 1955, in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. He initially worked under the pen name Izumi Haruki, which was derived from a misunderstanding at a part-time job. He gained notoriety for his work in 'Garo' magazine alongside fellow artist Masayuki Kuzumi and created his first serialized manga, 'Dandori-kun.' Izumi also works on solo manga, essays, illustration, and poster design. He has been married twice, with his second spouse being fellow manga artist Sayaka Yamazaki.
