Hasan Makić is a prominent Islamic figure in Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving as the Mufti of Bihać since 1993. He completed his primary education in Bužim before attending Gazi-Husrev-bey-Medresa in Sarajevo, graduating in 1975. He furthered his studies at the Islamic University Muhammad bin Saud in Riyadh, graduating in 1982. Makić has written extensively on Hadith and Fiqh and contributed to the translation and commentary of the Hadith collection by Buchari. He is also known for signing the Amman Message and the Common Word Initiative.
