Hashim Al-Mosawy (1939 - November 14, 2016) was an Iraqi thinker, Islamic preacher, and politician. He completed his studies at the Teachers' Institute and joined the Islamic movement in 1959. He was the first preacher for this movement in Basra and served as the Secretary General of the Islamic Dawa Party - Iraq Organization. He is regarded as a fundamental theorist of the Islamic movement, credited with approximately 70% of the written intellectual heritage of the Islamic Dawa since the early 1980s.
