Hawra al-Nadawi is an Iraqi writer and novelist born in Baghdad in 1984. After the 1991 uprising, her family moved to Denmark where she learned Arabic. She studied language and writing. Among her works is 'Under the Copenhagen Sky' published in 2010. She is the eldest daughter of Iyad Bonyan, head of the Police Sports Club in Iraq, and she is currently married to Iraqi footballer Nashat Akram, living in London.
