Hayk Marutyan is an Armenian actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and politician, born on December 18, 1976. He is best known as one half of the comedy duo "Hayko Mko" and gained fame through comedic projects like Kargin Haghordum and Kargin Serial. Marutyan served as the mayor of Yerevan from October 2018 until his removal in December 2021, following a vote of no confidence. He was nominated for the mayoral candidacy again in 2023 and founded the New Power party in May 2024, becoming its Chairman.
