Hazel Jane Irvine MBE, born on May 26, 1965, in St Andrews, is a prominent British sports presenter for the BBC. She studied art history at the University of St Andrews and began her journalism career at Radio Clyde in Glasgow, where she first served as a sports presenter. In 1988, she co-hosted the Summer Olympics for ITV and joined BBC in 1990. Notably, she became the youngest main presenter of the Grandstand in 1993 and has been synonymous with BBC snooker broadcasts for over 20 years. She was awarded the MBE for her contributions to sports and charity.
