Helen Marie Fischer was an American politician and activist known for her role in advancing Alaska Statehood and women's rights. A member of the Democratic Party, she served in the Alaska Territorial House of Representatives from 1957 to 1959, and then in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1959 to 1961 and again from 1971 to 1975. Her political career spanned significant transitions in Alaska's history, as it became a state. In 2009, her contributions were recognized with her induction into the Alaska Women's Hall of Fame.
