Helen Frances McGrath (1942–2001) was a prominent Scottish trade unionist. Her career began in administration before she transitioned to work with co-operative societies and in a knitwear factory. Active in the National Union of Hosiery and Knitwear Workers from 1969, she rose to become general secretary of the merged National Union of Knitwear, Footwear and Apparel Trades in 1992. McGrath was recognized for her leadership as one of the few women to lead a TUC-affiliated union and served on various important committees and councils, earning awards and honors throughout her career.
