Helena de Boer, born on February 16, 1962, in Snits, is a writer and illustrator known for creating the series Bear Boeloe for Omrop Fryslân. She has authored and illustrated several books about Bear Boeloe and decided to conclude the TV show and related books in 2007. After a few years, she returned to writing and illustrating stories to complement reruns and existing materials. Additionally, she has created another children's book and a collection of poems with illustrations. She is also a visual artist and druid, offering courses at home in Zorgvlied.
