Helena Agnieszka Kmieć was a Polish Roman Catholic missionary, born on February 9, 1991, in Kraków. She was known for her charitable work and was posthumously awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by the Polish president. Helena was tragically murdered on January 24, 2017, in Bolivia while on a mission. Following her death, a beatification process was initiated, and she was recognized as Servant of God in May 2024. Her legacy continues through the Helena Kmieć Foundation, established to support children and youth in missionary countries.
