Henny Jurriëns was a Dutch ballet dancer, born on February 21, 1949, in Arnhem. He began his dance career at the age of 8 and trained at the Arnhem Dance Academy. He performed with the Norske Opera Ballet, the Dutch National Ballet, and later became the first soloist at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Jurriëns also served as an artistic director and was known for his performances in classical and contemporary works. He tragically died in a car accident in Canada on April 9, 1989, alongside his wife, leaving behind a three-year-old daughter.
