Henri Simons is a Belgian politician, born in Brussels on March 7, 1954. He is a former member of the Ecolo party and currently leads a collective for social ecology within the Socialist Party (PS). Previously, he worked as a social assistant, youth worker, and was involved in organizations addressing global hunger and combatting racism, antisemitism, and xenophobia. He joined Ecolo in 1982 and left in January 2007, later running as an independent on the PS list for the June 10, 2007, Senate elections.
