Henry C. King (1915-2005) was a British astronomer and writer known for his contributions to the history and philosophy of science. He had a profound interest in astronomy from a young age, influenced by literature. His academic credentials include a B.Sc., MSc, and Ph.D. He served as Inspector of Aeronautical Instruments during WWII and held several significant academic positions, becoming the first Scientific Director of the London Planetarium and later the Director of the McLaughlin Planetarium in Toronto. He also presided over the British Astronomical Association.
