Henry Joseph Kalis (1937-2018) was a prominent American politician from Minnesota, serving in the state’s House of Representatives from 1974 until he chose not to run for reelection in 2002. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented various districts, including 30A, 29B, and 26B, covering areas in southern Minnesota such as Blue Earth, Faribault, Freeborn, Martin, and Waseca counties. Kalis was recognized for his lengthy service and was among the longest-serving legislators from southern Minnesota.
