Hertha Frankel was an Austrian ballerina and puppeteer born in Vienna in 1913 and moved to Barcelona in 1942. She began her artistic career as a dancer in the Vienna State Opera's Children's Ballet and later explored singing and acting. Frankel became popular in early Spanish television as part of the Company of Vienesos, known for her puppetry work, including characters like La Perrita Marilín. She received several awards, including the Ondas Prize in 1964 and the FAD Sebastià Gash honor in 1985. Her puppet collection is displayed at Tibidabo Amusement Park.
