The Venerable Hewitt Wilson was a prominent Anglican priest in the latter half of the 20th century. Born on 14 February 1924, he was educated at Kilkenny College and Trinity College, Dublin. After serving a curacy at St. George's Church, Dublin, he joined the RAF Chaplaincy Service, where he rose to the position of Archdeacon (Chaplain-in-Chief) for seven years. He later served as Archdeacon Emeritus from 1980 and was Rector of The Heyfords with Rousham and Somerton until 1993. He passed away on 29 June 2008.
