Mons. Hil Kabashi is an Albanian Greek Catholic bishop born on February 19, 1941, in Caparc. He was ordained as a priest on May 18, 1969, and became a member of the Order of Friars Minor. Kabashi served as a chaplain in Bosnia and Kosovo before overseeing Albanian emigrants in the Albanian Catholic Mission (1984-1997). Appointed Apostolic Administrator of Southern Albania by Pope John Paul II on December 3, 1996, he was consecrated bishop on January 6, 1997. He is responsible for liturgical matters in the Albanian Bishops' Conference.
