Hildegarda Bigocka, also known by the pseudonyms Halina, Hilda, and Maria, was a Polish scout and courier for the Home Army during World War II. Born on June 2, 1910, in Wyczilin, she played a significant role in the resistance against Nazi occupation. Unfortunately, her life was cut short when she died on December 11, 1943, in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Her contributions to the wartime efforts and her sacrifice are honored in Polish history.
