Hiroshi Ikematsu is a Japanese contrabass player born on June 14, 1964. He serves as the principal contrabass player for the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and is the director of the String Ensemble Vega. In addition to his performances, he is a professor at the Tokyo University of the Arts and a guest professor for string instruments at the Faculty of Music at Kunitachi College of Music. His contributions to music education and performance are notable in the Japanese classical music scene.
