Hiroshi Tada, born on December 14, 1929, is a ninth dan aikido holder and a direct student of Morihei Ueshiba. He is the only current ninth dan holder and teaches at Aikikai Honbu dojo as of 2023. Originally from a samurai family in Tokyo, he trained in archery before starting aikido in 1950 under Ueshiba. He founded the Italian Dojo Centrale in Rome in 1967 and Aikikai d'Italia in 1970. He also developed a system of breathing and meditation exercises known as ki no renma, based on teachings from Nakamura Tempu.
