Hiroshi Totsuka (born September 6, 1940) is a Japanese educator and author known for operating the 'Totsuka Yacht School,' a free school that currently trains in windsurfing. He refers to himself as 'God.' Totsuka gained prominence as a yachtsman by winning the 1975 Pacific-Okinawa Solo Trans-Shipping Race, defeating notable competitor Kenichi Horie. However, he became infamous due to the Totsuka Yacht School incident, where corporal punishment led to the death of five students, resulting in his conviction for manslaughter and a six-year prison sentence.
