Hiroteru Kawasaki (May 15, 1931 - May 31, 2024) was a prominent Japanese sculptor and member of the Japan Art Academy. He was born in Tokyo and graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Musashikubo High School. Kawasaki began his sculpting career in 1959 after working with Sambi Koge since 1952. He received several prestigious awards, including the Prime Minister's Award at the Nitten in 1993 and the Japan Art Academy Prize in 1998. He became a member of the Art Academy in 2004 and was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun in 2007. He passed away in 2024 at the age of 93.
