Nicknamed 'the eel' for his exceptional sidestepping skills, Onozawa is the second most capped player in Japan's rugby history and ranks as the fifth highest try scorer in international rugby. Despite being overshadowed by Daisuke Ohata, he is recognized as one of the all-time greats in Japanese rugby.
