Hiroyasu Okitsu (November 11, 1939 - January 19, 2011) was a Japanese accounting scholar. He earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree in 1985 with a dissertation on the development of balance sheet theory in Germany. He was a Professor Emeritus at Kinki University and served as the president of the Japanese Society of Bookkeeping and the Japanese Society for Accounting History.
