Hiroyoshi Komatsu (b. November 13, 1934) is a Japanese poet born in Kochi Prefecture. He graduated from Kochi University and worked for many years as a Japanese language teacher at Kochi Gakuen High School, where he taught notable students like poet Aki Tanioka. Komatsu began composing poetry in 1967 and published his first collection, 'Idibutsu', in 1972. He received the H Prize for his 1980 work 'Kyozen Monogatari' and the Japan Poet Club Award for 'Dokoka Nisei Monaita' in 1995. He is involved in Tosa dialect research and is a member of 'Chō' and 'Kaushin'.
