He graduated from Osaka University in 1990 and has worked extensively in internal medicine and oncology. Narahara has served as a coordinator for cancer professional training since 2007. His expertise includes chemotherapy for gastrointestinal cancers and soft tissue sarcomas. He is also the president of the 7th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Sarcoma Society and actively participates in outpatient care at Nishinomiya Hospital.
