Hisako Miki is a Japanese botanist born on December 8, 1925. She holds a Doctor of Science degree and is a former professor at Kanagawa Dental University. Miki is also a research collaborator at Ochanomizu University Gender Research Center and a member of the Rachel Carson Japanese Association. She served as the president of the Pollen Society. Her hobbies include bird watching, and she is a member of the Japan Audubon Society and the Kamakura Independent Bird Watching Group. Miki has traveled worldwide to observe plant species and all types of penguins.
