Hisham Kabbani is a Lebanese scholar and Sufi sheikh. He graduated in chemistry from the American University of Beirut and earned a degree in Islamic jurisprudence from Damascus. He is married to the daughter of Sheikh Muhammad Nazim Al-Haqqani, the leader of the Naqshbandi order, and holds an authorization from him to teach this order. Kabbani is the founder and president of the Islamic Supreme Council of America, an organization that advocates for tolerance and moderation rooted in traditional Islam.
