Homer Lee Jackson III (1959-2023) was an American serial killer responsible for the deaths of at least three women and one teenager in Portland, Oregon during 1983-1993. His crimes went unsolved until forensic evidence led to his arrest in 2015. The legal proceedings surrounding his mental health, arrest, and controversial plea deal, which resulted in him serving minimal time, drew considerable public criticism from the victims' families. Jackson passed away at home on July 18, 2023.
