Hoshyar Zebari is an Iraqi Kurdish politician born in 1953. He served as Iraq's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2004 to 2014 and was also the Minister of Finance until September 2016. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Jordan (1976) and a Master's in Sociology and Development from Essex University in 1979. Zebari has been an influential figure in the Kurdistan Democratic Party, serving in various capacities since 1979.
