Howard Lawrence Berman is an American politician born on April 15, 1941. He has been the U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district since 2003 and is a member of the Democratic Party. Prior to this position, he served in the California State Assembly from 1974 to 1982 and was the U.S. Representative for California's 26th congressional district from 1983 to 2003. He co-sponsored a non-binding resolution with Ileana Ros-Lehtinen that criticized a UN report on the Gaza conflict as biased and not worthy of further legitimacy or consideration.
