Howard Cornett is an American politician from Kentucky, born on March 11, 1953. He served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1999 to 2007. Cornett was elected following a special election after the death of Paul Mason. In 2002, he was redistricted to the 94th district, where he faced off against Democratic incumbent Ira Branham, who opted not to run again. Cornett lost his reelection bid in 2006 to Democrat Leslie A. Combs.
