Howard Dodson Jr. is an American scholar born on June 6, 1939. He served as the Director of the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center and Howard University Libraries. Prior to this, he was the long-time director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, a position he held for over 25 years from 1984 to 2010.
