Hrachya Saribekyan, born on January 24, 1979, in Kirovakan, Armenian SSR, USSR, is an Armenian writer, literary scholar, and candidate of philological sciences. He heads the Diaspora Department at the Manuk Abelyan Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, and is a member of the Union of Writers of Armenia and the Journalists' Union of Armenia. He has also served as the acting director of the National Library of Armenia and is the editor of the newspaper 'World of Books'. His works carry on the tradition of Latin American prose in Armenian literature.
