Huda served as a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, representing Al-Qadisiyyah Governorate during the second (2010-2014) and third (2014-2018) terms. She won the 2018 parliamentary elections with 6,833 votes and ranked second among women in the 2014 elections in Diwaniya, receiving around 3,691 votes, making her a significant political figure in her region.
