She gained notoriety for claiming that all human diseases were linked to parasitic infections and asserted her ability to cure ailments, including cancer and HIV/AIDS, using self-invented 'electrical devices' she marketed. Despite writing several books on alternative treatments, Clark faced significant legal challenges due to allegations of fraud, leading to a restrictive intervention by the FTC. She ultimately relocated to Tijuana, Mexico, where she continued her practice until dying from multiple myeloma.
