Huo Kuizhang was a prominent general of the Kuomintang (KMT) from Hunan, China, born in 1901 and active until his death in 1953. He rose through the ranks to become a major general in 1935 and was promoted to lieutenant general by 1937. Huo played a significant role in commanding the 20th Army Group during critical battles against the Imperial Japanese Army in regions such as Changsha, Yunnan, and Burma from 1940 to 1945. His career ended controversially after the assassination of Wen Yiduo when he was dismissed from his position as the Yunnan garrison commander.
