Hussein S. M. Zedan was an influential Egyptian computer scientist who specialized in numerical methods for solving differential equations. He completed his PhD at the University of Bristol in 1981. Zedan held academic positions at the University of York and later became Technical Director of the Software Technology Research Laboratory at De Montfort University. He served as Assistant Vice-President at the Applied Science University in Bahrain until 2017. Zedan passed away in February 2019, leaving behind a legacy in computer science and a family with two daughters.
