Ian Robert Beven, born on November 27, 1958, in Hobart, is a former first-class cricketer from Tasmania who played in the Sheffield Shield from 1980/81 to 1983/84. He later moved to Scotland, where he became a permanent citizen and made his debut by taking a wicket with his first ball. Beven represented Scotland 27 times and played a crucial role in their ICC Trophy campaign, helping the team qualify for the 1999 World Cup by taking 17 wickets.
